The Spread Is the Output, Not a Single Number.
The three stage widths are schematic. The split is not: one reach, three matches, one safety is the target spread for a student who asked for selective schools. A band is a selectivity bucket, never a chance prediction, because Find Schools does not compute one.

The school names on the matches you generated, the date they were generated, and how many of the Find Schools survey's questions you have answered so far. That is the whole card. The fit paragraphs, the tradeoffs behind each match, and every answer you gave stay on your screen only.
Either side can start the link and the other side has to confirm it, so nothing crosses until someone says yes, and you can end it whenever you want. The one thing a parent can do besides read is send a reminder, capped at one per tool per day, which emails you and never opens your work.

What Is EduFinder Actually Built On?
EduFinder is built on specialist materials and structured admissions data: SAT-style questions that people and EduFinder's AI write and check together from released-test patterns, acceptance-record calibration for chance bands, hand-curated college data, and intake flows designed by educators. AI helps synthesize a student's answers into the final output, but the product is the underlying data, structure, and judgment.
How Are the Schools Chosen?
Curated, not scraped. The list of 417 US colleges is built and maintained by the same educators who write the rest of the product, weighted toward schools that admit a real range of applicants and now spanning large public universities and more accessible state schools alongside selective private colleges, so students see real reach, target, and safety options. Each school carries current facts from the US Department of Education College Scorecard, including acceptance rate, average net price, SAT and ACT ranges, graduation and retention rates, and median earnings and debt. Your answers about cost and life after college now shape the ranking too, so Find Schools leans toward schools with a lower net price and stronger graduate outcomes, not fit alone.

Yes. You can open a full Find Schools sample (five real US colleges matched to a fictional applicant, each with its own fit paragraph) before you answer a single question or sign in.

Who Built This?
EduFinder was founded by Jiin Baek (Ryan), who has tutored SAT, AP, and IB students since 2016 and advised families on US admissions since 2019, and is built with a small group of contract educators and engineers. Between them, the team has spent years teaching high school students at US boarding schools, UK public schools, and Korean international schools, and the tools were tested in real classrooms before anything shipped publicly. EduFinder is made by Waystar Learning, Inc., a Delaware corporation built in Seoul. The Who We Are page has the longer version.
What Happens to My Answers?
