Learn the Application Before You Live It.
Plain-English guides to the US college application, written by the EduFinder team, with interactive visuals you can switch, compare, and take apart. Every guide is free to read, with no account.
Written and reviewed by the EduFinder team. Deadlines and policies in the guides are the common pattern for the application cycle each guide names under its title, not promises: each college's own admissions page and your school counselor stay the sources of truth.
Written by People, Dated, and Rechecked.
How this section stays trustworthy, in plain terms.
Every guide is written and reviewed by the EduFinder team, carries the date it was last updated and the day its facts were last checked against their sources, names the application cycle it was written for, and is rechecked each application cycle, because the facts underneath (form opening dates, testing policies, essay prompts) genuinely change from year to year. Our tests fail when a guide's check is more than 400 days old, or when a guide still names the last cycle sixty days into the new one. Every FAFSA and CSS Profile date in the guides is read from one checked list, which the Who We Are page shows with the official record behind each date and the day we checked it.
Just as important is what the guides refuse to do: no invented statistics, no named "secret formula", and no promise about any admission outcome. Where a number depends on your family or your profile, the guide says so and points at the official source instead of guessing for you.
Every guide pairs with an EduFinder service. The guides are free to read, and so is your first run of every service they point at; one Pro Membership runs them as often as you need.
